Today was the Authors Tea. The cellist is quite a prolific writer...well, maybe not prolific, yet, but he does love to write. The cellist has been writing books since before kindergarten, so this is one place he really shines.This year's book was titled "Fortunately Unfortunately". It is actually really good and very funny. It's always nice to have something you do well at in school.

I'm envious. Most of the time I feel like a failure because I don't even know how to talk to them. What's your secret???

There were years that I felt like a failure...and I still have my "bad mommy moments", but for the most part I have just let go of the notion that I should be a perfect mom...and I just try to do the best I can. My secret...take one day at a time and try to make it good. You are a GREAT mom too...you shouldn't worry.
