The New Violinist

Well, it is official.  We are now going to have to switch code names for our children because the "old" Violinist has switched to the piano and the "old" Musician is now officially a violinist.

We went to her first lesson on Monday and all I have to say is...so cute. Her new teacher is so cute and perfect for her.  She did a lot of fun things like Statue of Liberty posture and the Soft Kitty game.  Then she pulled out her decorated toilet paper roll and was surprised when her four-year-old student said, "Hey, that's Princess Leia!"  She just started laughing and said usually her older students don't even know who it is.  Little did she know Star Wars is one of her favorite movies, along with Pirates of the Caribbean and Barbie's Thumbalina!  Now that is diversity!

We are so pleased with our little girl.  She truly has a mind of her own and begged and begged to start lessons with a "real teacher", not just her Dad!  It probably is a better idea to have someone else teach her.  I don't know why it is, but kids seem to listen more to people who aren't their parents...why is that?

I have wanted so badly to be able to teach my own kids piano. Save me a load of money! But we've tried...with each of the 3 boys...and it just doesn't work for us. I'm sure you now know why :)
