The Lights went out on Sunday...We were "lazing" around when we heard a big BOOM and the power went off. Luckily it was still light outside, but it was also 104 degrees! I hurried to the neighbors house to make sure their power was out too. We learned that the transformer across the street exploded somehow. Unfortunately, there is a big pine tree right next to it, so we needed to call the fire department so all our housed didn't end up in flames.
It is always good to have a photo opp. with a fire truck, even if you do fear for your life. It was also a really good excuse to eat all the ice cream in the fridge! It wasn't too terrible of an experience if you don't count listening to chain-saws until 2:00 in the morning!
