Lagoon...it's what awesome is!

YES. Part of the week that was...was also a trip to Lagoon. It was so much fun...and a big thank you to our babysitters (grandma and grandpa) so we could go and not have to worry about getting our cute girlies kidnapped, mostly because they like to run away in public places.
So the three of us, The Composer, The Vocalist and The Cellist had so much fun. We were able to go early in the morning and ride until 8:00 at night.
It has been a few years, okay decades since I had been, mostly because I spewed breakfast, lunch and dinner the last time I went. But I ate early, popped a dramamine (anti-spew medication), slathered on SPF 50 and we were off.
It was so much fun to have our 8 year old along for the ride. We started with the old rickety roller coaster...not a good idea. I thought I had grown up enough not to be scared of that one, but it goes super fast. You should have seen the look on the Cellists face...sheer terror. I had to play brave so he would continue going on rides all day. But we came off smiling and laughing, so it was fine. Next was the Cliffhanger. In retrospect, probably not the best choice. We were soaked. The Cellist was smart enough not to go on it, but
after a few hugs from his parents, he was wet too.

CLIFFHANGER

Well, it pretty much went like that all day, going on rides, looking at the face of my eight year old (sheer terror), getting off and hearing him exclaim,"That was awesome!" That was until we decided to go on Wicked. We thought we could just let him say on the sidelines until the ride was over, but his dad wouldn't have any of that. He made him get on, tears and all, and after closing his eyes for the first part he opened them up and mild terror was on his face. Of course we heard the same exclamation, "that was awesome!" And now Wicked is his favorite ride. WICKED!
Well, after a WICKED (slang for very or really) awesome day, we were able to come home to the most comforatable beds ever. The real miracle is that we weren't late to church the next day.

Too bad the rides are moving so fast that you couldn't of gotten that look of terror on film. :) It would have been so cool! What a great day and perfect memories for your to secretly share for a lifetime. :)
